Alright, so you have disabled some startup programs to make your Windows load faster. But certain applications are still getting listed whenever you load 'msconfig'.
Before you delete the entry in the registry, make sure you have done the following:
- Unistalled the program in question
- Disable Windows services ( you can find how-to disable them here )
- Use a registry cleaner like Crap Cleaner ( goto Registry > Scan for Issues > Fix Selected Issues . It's a good idea to backup the registry at this point, just in case something goes wrong)
If those programs are still on the 'msconfig' startup list, you can delete them using 'regedit'. Goto Start > Run > type in 'regedit' without the apostrophe and click OK. Now, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg . Delete any folders under startupreg.
Now those entries in your 'msconfig' should be gone for good.
